About Kathy
Kathy Fowler leads the Kathy Fowler Agency, based in the rural town of Memphis, Texas, in the southeast Texas Panhandle. The agency also operates two additional offices in Elk City and Altus, Oklahoma. All locations specialize in crop insurance, with property and casualty services added in 2015 to better serve the evolving needs of clients and communities.
A fourth-generation farmer, Kathy grew up on a farm in western Oklahoma and continues to farm cotton, wheat, and peanuts today. Her deep-rooted passion for agriculture drives her to understand each farmer and rancher’s business model, helping them mitigate risk through education on the latest programs and technologies. She leads a dedicated team of twenty professionals who work hard to support producers through the challenges of modern agriculture.
With over 37 years of crop insurance experience, Kathy is a strong advocate for crop insurance as the cornerstone of the farm safety net. She serves on the board of the Crop Insurance Professionals Association (CIPA) and has testified three times before the House Agriculture Committee to advocate for the advancement of crop insurance policy.
Kathy’s leadership extends into broader agricultural organizations. She has served as an alternate representative for Oklahoma on the Cotton Board and currently serves as Vice President of the Oklahoma Wheat Growers Association, with voting privileges in the National Wheat Growers Association.
Outside of work, Kathy enjoys traveling with her grandchildren, Kambell (16) and Jace (11), who reside in Houston, Texas.
